Xander is from not-so-sunny Rochester, NY where he was raised by Irish immigrants hellbent on producing as many sons as possible (he is the fourth of five).  He received a temporary tan and bachelor's degrees in philosophy and psychology from Duke University before returning to Rochester to help manage a non-profit and do graduate work in philosophy.  Three years later, Xander realized what he was supposed to be doing, set aside helping others and the pursuit of wisdom, and moved to Chicago to pursue a career in comedy.
Over the past two years, Xander has completed the improv training programs at iO and The Annoyance and the sketch writing programs at iO and The Second City.  He is currently in his penultimate term at the Second City Conservatory where he uses words like 'penultimate'.  Xander can be seen in YouTube videos of him talking nonsense with people at Chicago Comic Con and can be seen in the fleeting dreams of dying unicorns.  He is currently working on producing more videos for the web, a two man sketch show that he has co-written for the stage, and his Conservatory show at Second City.
