Terry was born and raised in Indiana. After serving an apprenticeship at Actors Theater of Louisville (1972-1973), Terry booked his first professional tour as the “Boy” in “The Fantastic’s”. From the money saved on that tour he headed to New York to study with Lee Strasberg at the Strasberg Institute and later with Terry Schreiber at the Terry Schreiber Studio. Terry lived, studied, and worked in and around New York for th next 11 years doing Regional, Summer stock, Dinner Theater and Off-Off Broadway productions.

He moved to Chicago in 1987 and began working the off loop theater scene. In 2005 Terry was invited to become an Associate Artist at the TimeLine Theatre Company where he began a slew of critically acclaimed performances which includes Richard M. Nixon in Peter Morgan’s Frost/Nixon.

In addition to theatre Terry has worked in Television on "The Playboy Club", "Chicago Code", “Early
Edition” and “Turks”.  Terry is a three time recipient of the Non-equity Joseph Jefferson Award for excellence in acting.
