A first generation Arab-American born and raised in the Midwest, Sarab has been acting professionally for the past 15 years. Her father, who hadworked in commercials and films in the Middle East, has always credited himself with giving her the "acting bug" and passing on his talents.
Sarab has been fortunate enough to consistently work in many aspects of the industry including theater, industrial films, commercials, voice-overs and film work. She has studied extensively at Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre as well as with Uta Hagen. Sarab performed the one-woman show, 9 Parts of Desire, where she expertly created 9 seperate characters winning the Wilde Award Theater Critic's Choice for best play. The show was produced and performed by Sarab in three various venues across the state of Michigan. Other recent roles include Becca in Rabbit Hole at Meadowbrook Theater; Vicereine in Sins of Sor Juana at The Performance Network; Gertrude in The Underpants and Shari in the world premiere of Mitch Albom's play And the Winner Is at The Purple Rose Theatre.
Sarab has also appeared in recent films soon to be released this year, including Stone (with Robert DeNiro); Conviction; Trust (directed by David Schwimmer) and the Lifetime television movie Secrets in the Walls.
