Rula loves being an actor. She feels it is such a gift as the continuous learning gives her immense pleasure. The challenges and the uncertainties keep her feeling alive and active in life, and living in a place of constant possibilities.
 
Rula has acted, written, and improvised on both stage and screen in Chicago for over 15 years.
 
She is a mother, a wife, a runner, and a global citizen.
 
Rula was born to Palestinian parents in Bahrain. She was raised in Europe, educated in England and has lived in the United States long enough to be able to feign an American accent. Her natural, ethnically ambiguous accent however reflects her diverse international background.
