Peter grew up in the small Chicago suburb of Warrenville, with a family of policemen, firemen, nurses, and carpenters. His upbringing was a clash of grass roots America and the Chinese-Panamanian influence of his mother's culture. He has always been intrigued by people's social interaction, and because of his mixed background, Peter found that people of many different
races accepted him as one of their own. He eventually realized that acting was the perfect place for him to marry his ability to adapt and his fascination with what made people tick.
Peter first stepped onto the stage in a community recital at the age of six, in a tap number with his mother and older sister. A greater appreciation for the theater was inevitable, due to the endless stream of movie musicals his sister watched at their home. At the age of fourteen, he began to perform in community theater with his sister and father. Peter juggled
rehearsals for shows, percussion ensembles, choirs, and drumline throughout his high school career, and went on to study Theater and Music Performance at North Central College in Naperville, where he performed in 14 mainstage productions.
Since graduating, Peter has had the pleasure of working with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Victory Gardens/Biograph Theater, Porchlight Music Theater, and First Folio Theater to name few. He is also the drummer for a local rock band named The Hyrax, coaches high school speech in his spare time, and is always looking for the next challenge to grow as an actor.
