Nora is delighted to call Chicago her home, and is especially pleased to be a part of Gray Talent Group. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Nora studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory, Experimental Theatre Wing, and Amsterdam International Theatre Workshop. In addition to training as a professional actor at NYU, she also studied drama therapy, engaged in community-based performance, practiced Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, and devised several original solo performances.
An Evanston native, Nora decided to return to the Midwest and get to know the Chicago theatre community. Since then, she has studied at The School at Steppenwolf and worked onstage with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Remy Bumppo, Eclipse Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Steep Theatre, Griffin Theatre, About Face, Silk Road Theatre Project, among others. Nora is a proud ensemble member of Eclipse Theatre Company, the only theatre company in the Midwest to feature one playwright each season. With Eclipse, Nora received a non-equity Jeff Nomination (Actress in a Supporting Role) for her portrayal of Sophie in Lillian Hellman's Autumn Garden. Most recently at Eclipse, Nora played Maggie in Arthur Miller's epic drama, After the Fall. In the fall of 2010, Chicago Tribune theatre critic Chris Jones named Nora as one of Chicago's Hot New Faces in theatre.
Nora also works in film, TV, and print. Most recently, she guest starred as Allegra on episode 7 of ABC's Detroit 1-8-7.
Offstage, Nora is a drama teacher with Changing Worlds, a non-profit organization dedicated to unifying literacy and the arts in Chicago Public Schools while enhancing cultural understanding. She loves to knit, sew, and ride her bicycle. But not at the same time.
