Melissa Kong is a native Chicago girl and friends with Tina Fey. Well, she's not friends with her yet, but she does have a blog: tinafeyismyfriend.wordpress.com. Much like T-Fey, Melissa is studying at The Second City in their writing and Conservatory programs as well as I.O.'s Improv program. Her writing show premiered in Jan 2011 at Second City's Training Center. She was finalist for the Puma & Second City "LOL" Scholarship. Melissa also had the fortune of studying abroad in London at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and in Bulgaria with New Bulgaria University. Some of her theater credits include The DNA Trail (Silk Road Theater Project in association with Goodman Theater), A Midsummer's Night Dream (Varna International Theater Festival), Menorca (16th Street Theater). In addition to acting and writing, Melissa is a personal trainer (ask her to do push-ups for you) and has a second degree black belt in martial arts.
