Matt Micou is a skilled writer, director, producer and aspiring improviser.  Originally from Virginia, Matt moved to the Chicago suburbs in 1998 and soon relocated to the city.  After graduating from the Second City writing program, Matt founded the sketch comedy group Grandma June's Sewing Circle.  Together, they have written and produced many successful sketch comedy shows, performed in front of sellout crowds at theaters across Chicago, and have performed in New Hampshire, the Quad Cities and soon Austin, Texas.  Matt and the group performed in the 2008 Chicago Sketchfest to a near sellout crowd. Matt also performed on Chopper, his improv team at iO, and was a contestant on the first season of World Series of Pop Culture on VH1.
