Talent

Born of Peruvian decent, Katy grew up in Miami, FL, where her love of theatre (and good Latin food!) began. She also lived in other fun cities such as Atlanta, GA and Westchester County, NY before finally ending up in good old Springfield, MO. There she attended Missouri State University where she received a B.A. in Theatre with a minor in creative writing. After graduating from college, Katy ran off to the Big Apple where she did everything from runway shows to children's plays to print work in magazines such as YM and American Cheerleader.

 Now in Chicago, Katy has been working with some fabulous theater companies including Collaboraction, Stage Left, Sandbox Theatre Project, Redmoon, Oracle and The Mill. She has also been teaching children with Lookingglass Theatre Company for the past two years, AND has finally put her creative writing minor to use by joining the newly launched magazine, CheekyChicago.com, as a featured writer.
