Chicago native JUDY ROSSIGNUOLO-RICE has a B.F.A. in Theatre, and an M.A. in Speech and the Performing Arts.  She has acted and directed professionally for over 25 years, taught and coached theatre, and has conducted workshops on acting and auditioning. 

Favorite theatrical roles include Ruth in COLLECTED STORIES, Beatrice in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, Rosemary in PICNIC, Golde in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Judith in HAYFEVER, Belinda in NOISES OFF, Marjorie in TALE OF THE ALLERGIST’S WIFE, and Beatrice in THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS… For the last three years, she has acted and directed in Europe as part of the United States Military Department of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation.  She played Kate in a critically acclaimed production of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS in Stuttgart, Germany, also serving as director and designer.  Judy was the recipient of Chicago’s coveted Artisan Award for her portrayal of Mama Ferante in TWO MANY BOSSES.  She has directed on the University level, and has appeared as a Guest Artist in Indiana University’s production of A…My Name is Alice.  She appears as Jo Malone “the satisfied customer” in the Boyd Gaming Company’s Blue Chip Casino commercial in Michigan City, Indiana. 

 

Judy is passionate about her family, and is in love with being a grandmother. She is on the Board of Directors of Illinois Theater Center, and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
