Jewel's passion for acting began at age 5. In college, she decided to be "practical" and major in Communications/Media with a minor in German. Ironically her first job, working behind the scenes on a TV talk show, led her on a journey back to acting.

Jewel moved to Chicago from Los Angeles. While in L.A., she studied extensively with renowned acting coach and author, Scott Sedita. Despite her focus and love for comedy, she made her national TV debut on the series premiere of CSI:NY (CBS) as the victim locked in her own body. Jewel also guest starred on "House, M.D." (FOX) as a single mother whose daughter was dying of cancer. Fortunately, she has been able to showcase her funny side in independent films as well as numerous appearances at the National Comedy Theater in Hollywood.

Besides raising an incredibly entertaining 2 year old, Jewel teaches acting to teenagers. She also directs for CYT, a non-profit organization that focus on growing kids through musical theater.

Jewel would like to thank her husband for his support, her daughter for making her laugh, and Chicago for having the best pizza in the world!
