Jeremy has co-founded several performance ensembles over the past 20 years, including El Trupo Improv in Barcelona, Elastic Picnic Improv in Seattle, International Theatre Collective in Montana and Ardeo Theatre Project in France. He has performed and trained in disciplines from classical theatre to Japanese dance, often with multi-national toupes. His passion lies in devising -- a process of creating original works on one’s feet in the studio.
In Chicago, he has performed with Writers’ Theatre in Travels With My Aunt, The Neo-Futurists in I Am a Camera, The Goodman in Strange Interlude, Next Theatre, Stage Left, Redmoon Theater where he won the After Dark Award for Outstanding Performance in Hunchback, The Building Stage where he was part of the After Dark Award winner for Outstanding Production Dustbowl Gothic. Regionally, he’s performed at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Shakespeare Theatre D.C., HotCity Theatre in St. Louis and Annex Theatre in Seattle, among others.
In Paris, he worked with Brigitte Dumez dance company and Projet Brûlé, creating original devised theatre and experimental works for international audiences. In 2004-2005, he devised, wrote and directed the original work Saltwater, which toured to St. Louis, Montana, Seattle and the Canadian Fringe Festival, to critical acclaim. In 201, he premiered his original devised solo show, Crow.
He has trained in Suzuki and Viewpoints with Anne Bogart and SITI Company in New York & Chicago, and has led many Suzuki training groups in Seattle, St. Louis, Paris, and Chicago. He has also taught Devising, Improvisation and Movement workshops at several universities across the country.
Voiceover clients include MSN, Folgers Coffee, Saturn, St. Louis Cardinals, Bank One, Labatt Extra Dry and others.
Jeremy is also a trained Pastry Chef with over 15 years professional experience.
