Fawzia Mirza was born in Canada and lived in Nova Scotia, but her family is from Pakistan and India. She moved to the United States to finish high school and has been here ever since! She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and knows the Arabic alphabet.

She played the sultry Rhonda in the lesbian romantic comedy feature-length film, Jamie and Jessie Are Not Together and she stars in the upcoming feature-length films, Promise Land, Silhouettes and her most recent film in pre-production, nine/twelve.

She was last seen on stage in Chicago in Dental Society Midwinter Meeting at 16th Street Theatre and the Jeff Nominated play, Scorched at Silk Road Theatre Project. She has performed with Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis, has studied at Improv Olympic, performs stand-up comedy and tours the world to colleges, universities and all branches of the military with the acclaimed comedy-educational show, Sex Signals.

She just directed and wrote her first short film, The Queen of My Dreams, a docu-narrative experimental film about Bollywood.  She also makes comedic videos. She produced the award-winning film, Fish out of Water (www.fishoutofwaterfilm.com), distributed by First Run Features out of NYC, available on I-Tunes and Netflix and assistant produced the documentary A Message from the East (www.endlesseyeproductions.com).
