Esteban was recently featured in the major motion picture A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, alongside Danny Trejo and co-starring Neal Patrick Harris. Esteban is the 2009 recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award for best actor for his portrayal of Angel Cruz in Jesus Hopped the A Train at Raven Theatre (Actor In a Principal Role-Play).  Nina Metz, of the Chicago Tribune described Esteban’s performance as “raw, in just the right way”.  Mr. Cruz has worked with numerous theatre companies in town, doing Shakespeare, musicals, comedies and dramas as well as working as a choreographer and dancer.  He is also an improviser on several teams at iO and jazz singer in different trios and bands around town. Esteban can be seen in David Cromer’s Streetcar Named Desire this fall up at Writers’ Theatre in Glencoe.
