Dan is a classically trained actor who has been living and working in the Chicago area for the past five years. He recently performed as Major Booth Voysey in The Voysey Inheritance for Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and soon will be performing as Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night with The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.
Dan has performed in several shows at Chicago Shakespeare including Comedy of Errors,Henry IV parts 1&2, Troilus and Cressida, Measure for Measure,Merchant of Venice, The Merry Wives of Windsor and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Dan has also performed with Victory Gardens Theatre (The DefiantMuse), Goodman Theatre (Pericles), Lookingglass Theatre Company (Argonautika) and the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (Henry V).
Before moving to Chicago, Dan performed the role of Willie Stark in Adrian Hall’s world premiere adaptation of All the Kings Men at Burning Coal Theatre. He was a core company member with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival for three years, performing in over 18 productions. While there he was the recipient of two Cincinnati Entertainment Awards (Best Actor for his portrayal of Iago in Othello and Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Athos in The Three Musketeers). He has also performed with the Pennsylvania, Michigan and Smokey Mountain Shakespeare festivals.
Dan holds an MFA from the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware. While there, he trained extensively in the Suzuki actor training method and spent a month in Japan studying with the creator of that method, Tadashi Suzuki.
