Carolyn is thrilled to be back in Chicago after spending five months training in Israel with the Artness School for Movement & Its Performance, with which she studied various forms of dance, music, circus, improvisation and “solo creation.” Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Carolyn moved to Chicago in 2006 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Theatre. Some favorite credits include The Diary of Anne Frank(Steppenwolf Theatre Company, d. Tina Landau), Emma (Cleveland Play House, d. Peter Amster), End Days (Next Theatre Company, d. Shade Murray), Six Impossible Things (Filament Theatre Ensemble), The Illusion, Mad Forest, Tattoo Girl, and Machinal (Northwestern University). Her film credits include In Memoriam (d. Stephen Cone),Girls Parts (d. Eric Gernand), Sunshine Away (Baker Street Productions), and Blonde Moments (Samsung Fresh Films). She is a graduate of The School at Steppenwolf and Shakespeare & Company’s STI program.
Carolyn has a genuine interest in people, and loves to draw portraits (particularly of her grandparents). A self proclaimed feminist, environmentalist, and activist, Carolyn can be found offstage practicing Kung Fu, recycling, and generating dance parties wherever she can (parks, train platforms, living rooms, etc.). She is a proud member of Chicago’s Filament Theatre Ensemble, and can be seen this spring playing Eurydice in their production of Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of the Greek Myth.
Big thanks to Dawn and Brooke for all of their hard work and support!
