Orginally from Wilmington Delaware, Carly came to the midwest in the fall of 2004 to attend Northwestern University, and has completely fallen in love with Chicago. While at NU, she was a member of the school's premier improv/sketch comedy group, Mee-Ow, which boasts such alum as Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ana Gasteyer and Seth Meyers. A large part of her decision to remain in Chicago after graduation was influenced by the city's improv opportunities, and she is partially through her training at I.O. She can also be seen at I.O. on Saturday mornings performing with Hogwash, an improvised interactive children's show. Carly's passion for physical performance has led her all over town to train in mime, circus, bouffon and clown. She has studied with 500 Clown, the Actor's Gym, Bud Beyer, Paola Coletto and JonSherman. She is also a professional storyteller and is currently studying guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music to enhance this skill! Carly is a proud member of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education, and has worked as a teaching artist with Barrel of Monkeys, Dream Big Theatre Workshop, Dewey Elementary School, Creative Kids Corner and Griffin's Tale (NU). And get this - ! - Carly has recently jumped onto the blogging bandwagon with her web-show "Mornings in the Mini" - a video blog she hosts in her yellow Mini Cooper.When she isn't performing, Carly can be found at Bubbles Academy teaching pre-preschool, creative movement, music and afterschool yoga. And, she works as a member of the Radio Disney Road Crew, where she is required to know all the choreography to the High School Musical films and all the lyrics to Miley Cyrus songs! Fun facts: Carly is the oldest of seven children and is the daughter of a mushroom farmer!
