Bret has been acting professionally for over 25 years and has performed on stage in 37 states. He comes to Chicago having grown up in Montana where he received his BFA in Drama at the University of Montana. Later he earned an MFA in Theatre at Wayne State University where he was awarded Detroit's best actor by the Detroit News in 1996 for his work as the title character in Pericles. Since coming to Chicago, Bret's stage credits include: Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol at the Goodman Theatre, Red Will O'Danaher in The Quiet Man Tales (Jeff nominated for Best New Work) at The Chicago Theatre Downstairs, Macduff in Macbeth with Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival and Jim Shine in Two For the Show (Jeff nominated for Best New Musical) with Theater Wit. Outside of Chicago Bret has worked extensively with Montana Repertory Theatre and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks.  Film and television credits include a featured role in Keep the Change with Jack Palance (a TBS television movie) and commentary as Dr. Trent Troutly on ESPN2's Fly Fishing Challenge.
