Bob Amaral has delighted audiences across the country as Max Bialystock in the Second First National Tourof The Producers.  He also originated the role of Pumbaa in the Cheetah Company of The Lion King in Chicago and has since played the infamous flatulent warthog in New York and on tour.

After working off, off-off, and often off-off-off Broadway, Bob made his Broadway debut  as Harry the Horse in Jerry Zaks' revival of Guys and Dolls.  Subsequently, he was the standby, and went on numerous times for his three predecessors, Nathan Lane, Whoopie Goldberg and David Alan Greir before taking over the role of Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

You also may have seen him in the National Tours of Wizard of OzAnnie Get Your Gun and Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up.

He's also been very happy to be a part of Happy Days: A New Musical, Breaking Legs, Noises Off, Anything Goes, Triumph of Love, The Robber Bridegroom, and The Music Man.  Bob's versatility has been demonstrated in such diverse productions as The Flying Karamazov Brothers' zany version of The Brothers Karamazov -- as well as playing Kromov in the San Francisco Opera's The Merry Widow.

He's made guest appearances on television in N.Y.P.D. Blue, Son of the Beach, Any Day Now, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Babylon 5, Mad About You, Brother's Keeper, The Second Half, Love & War, Empty Nest, Major Dad, My Two Dads and is warmly remembered as Eddie Hayes in Rob Reiner's Morton & Hayes on CBS.
