Aaron grew up in North Carolina where he received his BA in Drama and English from Duke University. He has also studied with the Margie Haber Studio in Los Angeles, the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and currently here in Chicago with the Green Room Studio. He is a proud member of Signal Ensemble Theatre, where he has been treading the boards for all eight seasons.
Among his favorite roles with Signal are Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Cousin Lymon in Ballad of the Sad Cafe and Leslie in Seascape, for which he was nominated for a Jeff Award. Most recently, he finished up the third extension as Brian Jones in the critically acclaimed jukebox musical, Aftermath. As a director for Signal, he has helmed both The Dumbwaiter and The Birthday Party, as well as assisted with She Stoops to Conquer. Other favorite roles in Chicago include Basil the Younger in The Picture of Dorian Gray and Hyena-swine Man in The Island of Dr. Moreau, both with Lifeline Theatre, Gene in A Devil Inside with the Right Brain Project and Nat in Only the Sound with Chicago Dramatists, where he is an Associate Artist.
When he is not creating, he also serves as Development Director and the resident Dramaturg for Signal Ensemble Theatre.
